Project: Commercial Development, Bowen Hills, Queensland
Brief: Completion of a detailed site investigation and remediation action plan; coordination and supervision of site remediation including removal of 14,000 cubic metres of heavy metal and petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated material and site validation.
Project: Service Station Redevelopment, Tweed Heads, New South Wales
Brief: Preparation of a dewatering management plan (DMP) for the installation of new underground storage tanks. The groundwater was contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons and required treatment and validation prior to being discharged to Tweed River. Protection of the recreational, fishery and ecological values of the river were challenges addressed in the DMP.
Project: Commercial Development, Caringbah, New South Wales
Brief: A detailed assessment of existing soil and demolition waste stockpiled on-site, and groundwater impact assessment in response to a statutory Clean-up Notice. A remediation plan using on-site capping techniques was developed by PE as an alternative to off-site disposal, and approved by a NSW EPA Accredited Site Auditor saving $2 million in transport and disposal costs.
Project: Vehicle Refueling Depot, Brisbane Airport, Queensland
Brief: Preparation of a remediation plan for removal of underground fuel storage tanks; project management of fuel tank removal, groundwater treatment, monitoring, and soil validation. Working within the framework of the Commonwealth Airport Environment Protection Regulation 1997, PE assisted our client in completing this project to the satisfaction of a Queensland Third Party Reviewer and Brisbane Airport Corporation
